How to volunteer

We know that volunteers will be the backbone of the Championships, helping to ensure that everyone coming to the Event – competitors, officials, spectators, guests, media and fellow volunteers – all have a great and memorable experience.
Volunteer positions will be available in many areas across the Regatta: commentary; assisting with photo finish & scoreboard info; launch driving; information distribution; RowShow exhibition support; and helping with other volunteers.
Some roles require specific experience and training, others just need enthusiasm!

Volunteering at the 2016 British Rowing Senior Championships

We’ll need volunteers to help on Friday, 21st October with set-up as well as on the racing days (Saturday, 22nd and Sunday, 23rd October).  If you can only help on one day, that’s fine – you can indicate which day(s) you are available, and what times during those days, on the online registration form.
A limited amount of overnight accommodation is available at the National Water Sports Centre.  Information on prices and how to book accommodation and the volunteers’ dinner on the evening of Saturday, 22nd October can be found on the registration form.
The form is available at   There are questions about how to contact you, your availability and what experience you have, as well as a chance for you to tell us if there is a specific role you are interested in.

We look forward to receiving your application for volunteering at the 2016 British Rowing Senior Championships!
Please note that completing the application form is an expression of interest only and does not guarantee you a position. The process will allow the Organising Committee to find the best fit between the opportunities and volunteers available.
